Our Client:
Southern Alberta's largest family owned auto dealership is looking for a Computer Information Technician. Their dealership has been an integral part of the Lethbridge community and are looking for hardworking, results oriented, community minded and experienced employees. Automobile experience would be ideal but your education and IT experience is paramount.
The Position:
Our Client requires a computer proficient and ambitious person. Responsibilities include handling in house software concerns, resolving network and server issues, sales administration duties, website maintenance and managing various electronic marketing initiatives.
The successful candidate will have formal computer training. Previous experience in an automotive dealership will be considered an asset.
Compensation will be based on qualifications and working hours are flexible. This is a permanent full time position with complete company benefits
Responsibilities:
- Audit nightly backup of server files & troubleshoot error messages.
- End of day lot walk- look for plates, keys, etc.
- Update website (job postings, new promotions, etc.)
- Customize inventory on website.
- Create used vehicle option sheets
- Manage inventory listing of systems and equipment.
- Backup files, emails to server as needed
- Audit e-mail accounts & website for accuracy.
- Update SLTS records for Service.
- Maintain and manage brochure inventory.
- Change CONCEPTS password monthly or as needed.
- Install new systems, hardware & software as needed.
- Maintain dealership internet service.
- Troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues.
- Manage file server administration & privileges for users.
- Provide input and/or pricing when purchasing new components and software
- Provide training and assistance with software use.
- Develop regular maintenance schedule for computer equipment, (hardware & software.)
- Investigate options to increase exposure to the dealer website.
- Assist with Service and Sales department mass mail outs.
- Take pictures of inventory, lot, and staff as required.
- Maintain subscriptions & ownership of websites.
- Maintain a tidy and organized office workspace.
- Maintain proper dress and personal appearance consistent with the standards set by the dealership.
- Provide leadership and training to co-workers.
- Attend training, (as requested by management), to help develop and improve your job related skills and customer satisfaction.
- Attend all department meetings.
- Perform any other technically related tasks as directed by management.
- Follow all company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures.
- Work in a safe manner, be safety conscious on the job and co-operate with the employer in the health and safety measures set by the employer. Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees, or customers.
- Be an ambassador for the dealership at all times.
